 RESIN ANUBIS SARCOPHAGUS

Dimensions of sarcophagus; length 12.5cm, width 4cm (widest) and depth 4cm body and 5.5cm nose.

Dimension of removable mummy; length 10.5cm, width 2.5cm (at shoulder)  and depth approx 1cm.

Made of resin this sarcophagus and mummy help to make sense of part of the ancient Egyptian burial practices.  Children can see how the mummy fitted into the sarcophagus and get an idea of how elaborate a sarcophagus could be.  Shaped in the style of Anubis the sarcophagus also helps to show what role differant gods played in ancient Egypt.
